Privacy policy

This page explains what information the AP Physics 1 Review site collects and how it is used. The site is free to use and does not require an account, a name, or an email address.
Usage analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to understand how students use it, for example which units are most popular and whether quizzes are helpful. Google Analytics collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and how the site was reached.
The site also records a few study events, such as starting or finishing a quiz, the unit and topic, and the quiz score. These events are not tied to your name or any account. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technology to do this. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Progress saved on your device
Quiz progress and your best unit scores are saved in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time with the "Discard saved progress" button or by clearing your browser's site data.
Embedded videos
Review videos are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies or collect information once you play a video. Its use of that information is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Links to other pages
Study-guide links lead to pages run by third-party services, including our online store (Payhip) and email sign-up pages (Kit, formerly ConvertKit). If you buy a product or sign up for emails there, those services handle your information under their own privacy policies.
Students
This site is designed for high school and college physics students. It does not ask for or knowingly collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or contact details. If you believe a student has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Reporting a question issue
The "Report a question issue" links open your own email app. If you send a report, we receive your email address and message and use them only to review and respond to the report.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Questions? Email contact@thephysicsuniverse.com.
